Our Story
In 2018, a group of friends came together and adopted nine seniors in the Hampton Roads area, delivering gifts of joy during the holidays. The impact on both us and the seniors receiving the gifts was profound. After hearing repeatedly, "It often seems like seniors are forgotten," we knew we had to do more to reach as many seniors as possible. In 2019, we formalized and expanded our efforts, focusing on making a difference during the holiday season.
Silver Tree Seniors is a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling holiday wish lists for seniors in need. The seniors we serve are identified through trusted community partners, including low-income senior apartments, nursing homes, and Meals on Wheels programs. These partners ensure that the seniors we support are those who need it most.
With the support of our amazing Hampton Roads community, we’re committed to ensuring that seniors know they are NOT forgotten.
